Even better?! Most of our favorite ingredients will be ON SALE during our huge SUMMER SALE - so tell your parents all about them so you can stock up your pantry and cook all summer long.

We think kids ages 4-14 would most enjoy this tasting. Parents are welcome to attend at no charge and observe on the sidelines. All participants will receive a 20% off coupon to use after the tasting to eat and/or shop at the Deli. Just for Kids: Explore the World of Cheese

33715995_10156658454886844_9154218192896262144_n.jpg

We ask all the kids who attend our JUST FOR KIDS tastings what else they want to taste with us, and the common answer is CHEESE (second only to candy, and c’mon, that’s pretty awesome for cheese). We’re calling all budding cheesemongers to join us for a delicious introduction to the world of cheese! In this JUST FOR KIDS tasting, we’ll explore the world of cheese by sampling and learning about different styles of cheese. We’ll talk about all the basics of cheese, including how cheese is made and what makes each style unique. It’s going to be so gouda (sorry for the cheesy pun. oops, we did it again! we’re just cracking ourselves up so we won’t be blue!)

We think kids ages 4-14 would most enjoy this tasting. Parents are welcome to attend at no charge and observe on the sidelines. Nicole Ardis Pop-Up Trunk Show

32943702_10155610068977399_2692915507857719296_n.jpg

16 Hands is excited to host a 2-Day event with Michigan jewelry artist Nicole Ardis. The artist will be in attendance on Saturday, June 9th, with her work still available throughout Sunday the 10th.

Nicole Ardis’s passion for creating jewelry using gemstones, metals, and leather developed from her deep love and appreciation of nature’s gifts. An enjoyment of the creative process since childhood led her from fashion design in New York City, to training as a Silversmith, and finally to jewelry making and design. It was in Santa Fe that Nicole perfected her craft, leading to the creation of Nicole Ardis Jewelry.

Established in 2010, Nicole Ardis Jewelry is located in Nicole’s home state of Michigan. The studio is surrounded by verdant woodlands and sparkling waters which provide energy and inspiration to her creative process. Since its beginning, Nicole Ardis Jewelry has been designing for the renowned Sundance Catalog, but here you will find Nicole’s own unique line of jewelry incorporating all of the knowledge and experience gained from years in the industry.

Through her love of utilizing a wide color palette and a variety of materials and textures, Nicole strives for each piece to incorporate both beauty and balance.

Using her expert eye and aesthetic sensibility Nicole designs the details of every piece of her jewelry. She then works with the materials to bring each one to life, all the while collaborating with her small team of talented sample-makers and silversmiths. This hands-on approach is part of what makes every piece of Nicole Ardis Jewelry so remarkable.

Saturday 02June 9:00am—12Noon

In the literary world, the quatrain is a style of poetry limited to four-line stanzas of any kind; rhymed, metered, or otherwise. Here, this style of poetry takes the form of photographic constructions. Removed from its original context, an image is made part of a visually flowing sequence to create a new whole — a mélange of subject matter, formal properties, intention, and potential meaning. Don Werthmann's twenty-four year career in photography met forces that sparked this project’s inception in October 2010, and over the last eight years it has evolved from an exclusive blog presence, Thinking Outloud, to the website, Quatrain ƒotographic. The Quatrain Project is being featured in very unique print and interactive formats at Found Gallery Artist In-Store Events.
